Prof. Dr. Ayhan Kalyoncu

Prof. Dr. Ayhan Kalyoncu graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in 1984. After graduation, he performed his mandatory public service as a Physician in Karaman Community Health Care Center. Between 1986 and 1990, he carried out his residency in Psychiatry at Bakirkoy Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatry,

Neurology and Neurosurgery. At the same hospital, he worked as an Attending Psychiatrist from 1990 to 1994 in Alcohol and Drug Research, Treatment and Training Center (AMATEM). Between 1993 and 2003, he worked as a Consulting Psychiatrist at V.K.V American Hospital. He and his 2 colleagues founded Anatolian Clinics within Balıklı Rum Hospital in 1994. In the same clinic, he worked as Assistant Chief of Clinic until 2008, then he became Chief of Anatolian Addiction Clinic in 2008 and worked there until 2013. Between 2001 and 2005, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department of Maltepe University Medicine Faculty. He became Associate Professor of Psychiatry in 2005 and Professor in 2012.

From 2011 to 2013, he worked as a Faculty Member and Head of Psychology Department in Haliç University. Between August 2013 and December 2015, he worked in European Health Occupation High School as an Instructor. In 2010, Dr. Ayhan Kalyoncu published a book named “PLASTİK DÜŞLER” in which he transferred his 28-year experience and academic knowledge about patients with alcohol and drug use. 

He can speak English.


Prof. Dr. Ayhan Kalyoncu admits his clients in his private office and he treats his patients who need inpatient treatment in Istanbul Psychiatry Hospital.
